Inspite of what’s written on the sash, Koreen Medina was still our Miss Intercontinental rep last year.
And so we’re down to this for the day.
If we are to go by serious talks of a 5th Bb. Pilipinas crown to be given on March 30, it only means that Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific International 2013 Koreen Medina will not be crowning the country’s next representative to Miss Intercontinental. Of course, if you read what’s stitched on the actual sash and title above, there was really no Mutya ng Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2013 and it just so happened that she was sent to Madgeburg, Germany as a replacement assignment after Miss Asia Pacific International was not held last year. So in essence, she will still be turning over her responsibility to a successor without the use of the word Intercontinental at all. It could be that Miss Asia Pacific International will finally push through in late 2014.
So going back to the still-BPCI-unconfirmed Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental or Miss Intercontinental Philippines title, who should take the honor of winning its inaugural Binibini appearance? Some say that #28 Carla Jenina Lizardo should be a shoo-in. But I digress. We will most likely see a different face attached to the crown by month’s end.
And the unpredictable thing about Germany hosting an international beauty pageant is that they are cool with both fair-skinned and exotic Filipinas representing the country.
Watch out for my next post and see if you will agree with my choices for the same.
