Bb. Pilipinas Supranational and Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Johanna Datul for Creme Silk
There are two (2) Binibinis who – I was told – allegedly expressed their wish to win the Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 crown at the onset. First is Binibini 30 Joy Marie Gangan who is looking at tracing the footsteps of her fellow Isabelanon Mutya Johanna Datul who is the reigning national and international winner. And then there is Binibini 25 Mary Jean Lastimosa who was hoping that this placement is the next best thing to clinching Miss Universe Philippines. Of course, being 26 years of age is likely to become a big concern because Miss Supranational has set its age limit to 25.
Above all of this, the troubles hounding Miss Supranational are still lingering, with two (2) factions claiming to be the real thing. But right now, I am more inclined to raise doubts about the group planning to hold the competition in India. Regardless, I will side with the organization our Mutya will stick with.
At the end of the day, Miss Supranational still appears to be a better pageant than MTQI, even if that’s not saying much by way of over-all prestige and global acceptance. And I don’t see BPCI crowning two reps to its two versions. At all.
