From Paulina to Pia
Above is the winning moment that should have been there in the first place instead of an abrupt cutting of the live telecast and a delayed upload of glorious crowning pics. Some of the more true-blue pageant fanatics still can’t get over the fact that Miss Universe 2015 was robbed of her true victory announcement on worldwide TV. But what host Steve Harvey blamed on human error can no longer be turned back, and was, thus, rectified immediately for damage control.
It really breaks the 42-year wait to have the crown handed to our representative in such fashion, and at the embarrassing expense of Ariadna Gutierrez. But we need to move on from here and treat the events as part of the destined deal. After all, Pia experienced serendipity at its best. And the Filipinos are going crazy everywhere, regardless of how things turned out in the end.

Wow! This year is really turning out more fruitful than 2013. One Miss Universe, one Miss Earth, one Miss Globe, one Miss International Queen and a 1st Runner-Up placement in Miss Intercontinental. And there’s also Miss Scuba International before I forget.
