When 26 year-old Wendy-Kristy Hoogerbrugge was crowned Miss Earth Netherlands 2013, she was more than excited with the opportunity to represent her country and prove that the Dutch are just as environmentally attuned to the causes being pursued by the competition.
This professional model and TV presenter from Rotterdam sure knows how to express herself in public, aside from being aware of issues affecting Mother Earth. While her specialty is Real Estate supported by a Masters degree in Business Administration/Marketing Management from Erasmus University, she went out of her way to absorb more knowledge about ecology and how she can tie it up with her trained academic background.
Now that she has done her time in modeling and corporate work, Wendy-Kristy is ready to face other challenges in life. She could be a good spokesperson with her Miss Earth guiding statement: “Let us cooperate to ensure that, in the most sustainable and environmental friendly way, water reaches those who need it the most.”
