Liesl Laurie (middle) was crowned Miss South Africa 2015 over the weekend. Flanking her are runners-up Ntsiki Mkhize and Refilwe Mthimunye.
And so, South Africa’s bet for both Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 has been crowned over the weekend. And she is considered a surprise winner by most.
Liesl Laurie, a 20 year old model and BCom general degree holder with the University of Johannesburg (Soweto Campus) hails from from El Dorado Park. She is the successor of Rolene Strauss who went on to win Miss World 2014 in London last December. Her two runners-up are top favorites Ntsiki Mkhize and Refilwe Mthimunye.
