For this year’s Holy Week, I have decided to combine two (2) subject matters I love the most – beauty pageants and movies. So instead of going preachy or anything, I thought it best to make a daily feature on some of the films about beauty contests that I enjoyed watching in the past – guilty pleasure or not.
For Holy Monday, I have decided to start with “Miss Congeniality” (2000) – the light action-comedy that starred Sandra Bullock as FBI Agent Gracie Hart who went undercover as Miss New Jersey in the Miss United States competition to investigate and stop the reported bombing plans for the finals.
