Out of thirty-four (34) Binibinis, only three (3) were actually dressed outside of the usual ternos and Maria Claras during the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Fashion Show last Thursday night. And the decision to have them wear something else made them stand out even more. I mean, how many variations of the usual traditional attires can the audience take before everyone starts looking for more novel takes on the country’s National Costume?
So I doff my hat to Binibini 6 Toni Alyessa Hipolito with her T’nalak National Costume from South Cotabato, Binibini 29 Nancy Leonard who wore a resplendent-looking Edwin Uy number and Binibini 33 Neesha Murjani with the Sinulog-inspired original she paraded herself in courtesy of Hanz Coquilla.
