Who knew that the little girl in the photo above would bring honor to the country as the Philippines’ first Miss World?
Megan Lynne Young is that girl.
And from the moment she stepped on the responsibility of representing the country in Miss World 2013, there was no looking back. She took on the role more seriously than how she would prepare for a role in a primetime teleserye. She adapted to the changes with an open mind and a learning heart. She dutifully transformed herself with the unconditional help and guidance from Aces & Queens. And she went to Bali, Indonesia armed with wide-eyed enthusiasm and full-on readiness to face the challenge of becoming the Philippines’ first Miss World crown.

So at this point when she is more than ready to crown her national successor tonight at the SM MOA Arena, I would like to give Miss World Philippines 2013 my deepest thanks. Not only for a job well done, but also a reign so gloriously completed.
May you impart your beautiful wisdom and words of encouragement to the next Miss World representative of the Philippines. It will be a tougher battle, what with the back-to-back mission constantly hanging over her head. But with Miss World 2013 providing the most precious of tips and advises, she will definitely gain that extra spark of confidence and the right disposition to make it happen.
We love you to bits, Queen Megan! :-D
P.S. I know you’ll be reading this, Queen Megan. My Sunday morning got even better when you engaged me in a brief Facebook chat earlier. I hope to see you again tonight! ;-)
