She is the girl nobody thought had a strong chance of becoming a Binibini Top 40. With no camp backing at the onset and armed only with big dreams and an equally big heart, Anabel Christine G. Tia set out her journey in this year’s edition with one thing in mind: show the best of herself while inspiring others (especially fellow kababayans from Ozamiz City) with her genuine personality and fighting spirit.
The road wasn’t the easiest for Bel. The challenges, while not insurmountable, can only be handled head-on. Competing against 39 other beautiful Binibinis and with majority of them fully-trained for battle, she decided to join forces with Kagandahang Flores to better her chances of standing out. And she did. Maybe not up to levels parallel to what the top favorites are enjoying right now, but enough to make her become more confident that she is doing the right thing en route to hopefully leaving a mark in the minds of the judges.
If and when she finds a good measure of success in her one and only pageant endeavor (straight to the nationals with no previous regional/provincial participations whatsoever), Anabel can only conclude that it is in her fate to become one. Otherwise, she can always paint a lovely picture of her heartwarming experiences as a Binibini and show to everyone that she gave it more than just a good fight. :-)
