While the pressure to win the crown and achieve a rare back-to-back for the Philippines in Miss Tourism International is constantly looming her way, Angeli Dione Gomez is still making sure that she enjoys her time with the other ladies in Kuala Lumpur but not to the point of just allowing fate to decide if she will indeed reach her goal (or somewhere near it). She is definitely performing the best way that she can.

Our bet needs to do well, in my opinion. Considering that she will already sacrifice spending Christmas with her loved ones back home, there’s no other way to combat homesickness but to focus on the mission at hand. After all, she is doing it for flag and country. And if it’s any consolation, her fellow Cebuana (and reigning titleholder plus surname-sake) Rizzini Alexis Gomez will be around to keep her company, aside from some family members joining her in the Malaysian capital come New Year’s Eve for the finals.
