Her name is Gabrielle Manaloto, and she is gunning for the Miss Universe New Zealand crown come October 24
Encouraged perhaps by the victory of Arielle Garciano during Miss World New Zealand 2014, another Filipina is set to try her luck in Miss Universe New Zealand 2015 after making it to the Top 20 ladies who will vie for the crown on October 24.
Gabrielle ‘Gaby’ Manaloto traces her parental roots from Meycauayan, Bulacan and is actually scheduled for a Philippine visit next month. She currently works for Farmers, a department store in Auckland and is also enrolled at the University of Auckland Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
If and when she does figure out well during the national finals and clinches the crown, then Gaby will have her hands full preparing for the bigger Miss Universe Pageant that could take place somewhere out there – but not excessively far away to require a tiring long-haul flight.
