Misters 2015 The Pageant: Write me a poem, Marcel

Marcel Stulir is a man of few words as you will soon find out in his Q&A below. But once you finally get through the real grain of his character and interests, he has so much more to say in terms of expressing his multi-faceted talents as an artist.

The guy can sing. And how. He can give the likes of Ed Sheeran or Jack Johnston on the guitar a run for their money. It will take a lot of cajoling to finally make him start rendering one, but the wait will be worth it.

He can also write poems, mostly in German. His nature-loving side, coupled with the love for water and the beach, have teamed up to bring out his sensitive side. He can piece together words to come up with thoughts that may sound profound at first, but easy to interpret afterwards.

And he can also act. While this talent remains to be proven in front of our eyes, it won’t surprise us anymore if he can deliver an emotion-filled monologue with prior practice.

Let’s turn our gaze to his straightforward answers to the interview questions now. He doesn’t mince with his replies. And would only elaborate if he finds a good reason to do so.

1) As a Misters 2015 candidate, give me a 30-second intro about yourself which will make followers show more interest in you.

Hello, my name is Marcel. I was Born in Germany but my mom is from Butuan City in Mindanao. Ever since I was a little boy, we already went back and forth from Germany to Butuan. Since then, I felt that my heart belonged to the Philippines. I grew up with my German stepdad but my father is originally from Turkey. I love music, and like to be active and productive.

2) As one of the candidates, what image do you want to show the others?

In a world full of successful people, I want to remain as a humble person.

3) In Miss Universe, a popular running line is “yellow is the color of joy”. What color best represents you?

The color Brown because it is the color of the earth.

4) Not everyone can win a special award in the competition, but if you are qualified for the following, which would you prefer to win: Mister Friendship or Mister Talent?

5) If you win one of the titles, people will expect you to be a good role model. How will you start building that image if ever?

6. Have you joined other male contests in the past? If so, what difference do you expect in terms of handling Misters2015 competition? Will you adopt a new gameplan, this being a different field for an artist like you?

7. I heard you’re a Poet. Can you write down a short one for me in English? If you prefer German, please have a translation ready.

English Translation:
With sorrow
We Wake up in the Morning

Beside Him fighting for his Existence.

8. How do you expect your life to change after being named an Official Candidate of Misters 2015?

I expect that doors will open with opportunities in a music or acting career.

9) Any message to your followers, Marcel?

Marcel is a unique Mister. From lineage to personality to likes to hobbies to personal preferences, the details set him apart from the rest. He can always be mistaken for an uber silent person, but that’s only because he is the type who would rather be close to a few, than spread himself thin among many. If that strategy will work to his advantage in the competition, I cannot give a definite answer. But I’m cutting him slack because I know this guy will start spreading his wings soon! :-)
