Daniel would love more than anything else to become a successful Architect in the future. In fact, he will graduate with a Degree in Architecture from Melbourne University this week. Just yesterday, he started a new job as Interior Design Specialist for Master Builders, a huge building and construction firm in Australia. And FYI, he’s still keeping his job in Cotton On, doing retail sales. I’m not sure how he will juggle everything, but I’m pretty confident he will also give the Manila-based male pageant a serious go.
The photos above and left (except the ones inserted in the middle and bottom of his Q&A texts) are very recent, having been taken only last Sunday by Photographer Melvin Diez. So what you will eventually see of him in Manila later this month will hue very close to his captured looks.
1) As a Misters of Pilipinas 2015 candidate, give me a 30-second intro about yourself which will make followers show more interest in you.
First of all my name is Daniel Anthony Polbrat, I was born in Australia with Filipino roots. My mum is Filipino from Guian, Eastern Samar and my dad is from Poland. As you could probably tell, I’m a unique mix although I am a unique blend of both my cultural roots. As a person, I’ve a got a big heart and I live to laugh. My parents are my rocks, my foundation and like many I live by the code; family first, I would do anything for my family. I love basketball and design and in the future I hope to become a recognized architect and hopefully build something significant and admired.
2) As one of the candidates, what image do you want to show the others?
I really just want to show the others, that I’m pretty much an average guy, I love having a good time and that I’m ready to learn and have fun with this competition. Most importantly I’m excited about the friendships and memories Im going to make, no one can take those things away from us.
3) In Miss Universe, a popular running line is “yellow is the color of joy”. What color best represents you?
The colour that best represents me would have to be the colour red. Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power. Definitely Red would be my colour.
4) Not everyone can win a special award in the competition, but if you are qualified for the following, which would you prefer to win: Mister Friendship or Mister Talent?
I’d probably say Mister Friendship, to be honest I’m probably not as talented as most but what I do know is that being someone’s friend and being there for them, is 100% times more meaningful.
5) If you win one of the titles, people will expect you to be a good role model. How will you start building that image if ever?
I think its important to start with myself, if I can show people that I accept myself and that I am confident people will start to believe me. So I think its important to build that image by showing people that a role model figure isn’t somebody who just follows the rules but also knows the importance embracing who they are and translating that to others instead of trying to be something you’re not.
6. What expectations do you have in terms of handling the national competition in Manila? Being that it will be here in the Philippines and not Australia, will you adopt a unique gameplan if ever?
I expect to see a lot of colour and flare, Philippines is so extravagant when it comes to cultural festivities that I expect to emulate that as much as I can. Personally as well I think I’m also just going to be my self, I’m naturally an out going and fun guy and I think I can relate to the Philippine community with my joy and happiness. As a foreigner coming into the competition I also have that unique qualities that you have yet to see, I guess they’ll just have to wait and see.
7. How do you expect your life to change after being named an Official Candidate of Misters of Pilipinas 2015?
If anything, this competition will change my life for the better, being an official candidate of such a prestigious competition is always going to be with me, nobody can take away that experience. Win or Lose this competition for me is to grow mentally as an individual and really just reach my potential in terms of charisma and confidence.
8) Any message to your future followers, Daniel?
Get ready for Daniel Anthony Polbrat as he will start to sizzle and surprise to the max once he arrives in the country for Misters 2015 The Pageant. ;-)Embrace who you are, God made who you are for a specific reason, don’t be afraid to accept , if you learn to love yourself for who you are that love will translate to others and give them the confidence to do the same. It all starts with you.
