Aniporn up close
21 year-old Aniporn Chalermburanawong (#37) is the next representative of Thailand to Miss Universe after she was crowned by outgoing winner Pimbongkod Chankaew during the finals held at the Royal Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand last night.
Pageant fans in the Land of Smiles expected a tough battle between her and 1st Runner-Up Chavika Vatrsang (#2 and another heavy favorite) as both tall ladies marched all the way to the top and became the last two women standing. In the end, it was the more vivacious Aniporn who got the nod of all the judges.
2nd Runner-Up is Chatchadaporn Kimakorn (#39), with Anchalika Na Pathalung (#25) getting 3rd Runner-Up. Ravinippa Hamid (#32) closed the Top 5 as 4th Runner-Up.
