Renee Salud's grand fashion show will happen on June 27
Well-known Philippine Fashion Ambassador Renee Salud will be bringing his latest collection to the US tri-state area via “tataksaludnyc 2015“, a big fashion event that is being organized by the live events division of lifestyle magazine Fil-Am Who’s Who.
In this collection, Salud will present creations that show contemporary and intricate ways of fusing Philippine indigenous fabrics with embroidery, as well as modern variations of the traditional Filipiniana.
Salud says, “I’ve been a staunch advocate for the Philippine fiber industry; its fabrics such as piña, abaca and the Maguindanaons’ handwoven fabric, inaul, which have been ingrained in indigenous traditions dating back to the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines, have the strong potential to appeal to global markets…
My show in New York and New Jersey (NY/NJ) will put the spotlight on these intricate masterpieces, which makes a fashion statement on the exotic, regional influences of indigenous tribes in the Philippines and their rich accessorizing.
I want young Filipino Americans to be proud of their own culture by not forgetting the Filipiniana style of clothing, which is simple yet functional.”

Benefitting the “Feed the Children” program of Catbalogan II Elementary School in Samar Province of the Philippines, “tataksaludnyc 2015” is presented by Philippine Airlines, in cooperation with Kit Silver Jewellery, Robinsons Land Residential Division and The Zen Institute. Exclusive media partners are GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV. Raymundo Villanueva, Philippine-based fashion director, will direct the fashion show which will take place at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Newark on June 27 at 7:00PM.
