In a big event like the recently-held Met Gala 2015, fashion was at its most avant-garde. The more attention-grabbing, the better. All within good taste, of course.
I am not about to do a critique of the gowns I loved and the ones that made me think twice about a celebrity’s fashion sense. Let me just share the creations that really caught my fancy, either in a guilty-pleasure-of-a-design or I-wouldnt-mind-wearing-one-in-my-dreams kind of way.

Helen Mirren in a bloody red attire with tasteful cut-outs all over. Once I turn 60, or retire at 65, you'll see me in this.
Gong Li in velvet. 'Nuff said.
Julianne Moore in black. I like it.
