Miss Republic of the Philippines President & CEO Lynette Padolina making the presentation of the pageant to the media.

Many important points were stressed during the presentation, such as:
1) While Miss Republic of the Philippines is a scholarship pageant first and foremost, the winners will still be receiving cash prizes plus a lot of travel benefits – both domestic and overseas.2) The scholarship prize is full. It can cover a Bachelor’s degree or Masteral studies or even the wide spectrum of Culinary or Hospitality Management specializations – whichever the winner decides to seriously pursue. But the only condition is that the education will be taken with a Philippine-based institution approved by the organizers.
3) The winners will be provided living accomodations during the entirety of their reign.
4) The three (3) Runners-Up – Miss Luzon, Miss Visayas and Miss Mindanao – are of equal importance. They will not be ranked as first, second or third.
5) Miss Republic of the Philippines President and CEO Lynette Padolina guarantees that there will be no exploitation of the candidates in whatever form, shape or size for as long as she is the Head.
6) Eventually, there will be an international pageant representation for the winners. But it won’t take place within the first couple of years at least. Focus will be on strengthening the pageant’s main focuses first – Education, Pride in Local Heritage and Philippine Tourism.
7) The 50% weight given to intelligence is non-negotiable. It is one of the key factors that will set apart its winning candidates from the rest.
