If the image above turns into reality, then I’d be very happy for the homegrown international beauty pageant. You see, Carousel Productions has always been making negotiations with other countries year after year, but somehow, the talks never prospered beyond such. Nha Trang, Vietnam seems like a long time ago, and a truly serious bidder needs to step up to the plate this year.
Egypt, while some would consider as not the most ideal pageant host country for a number of reasons, could have an excellent opportunity for eco-tourism in their hands provided that all bases are covered as early as now. And if the next Miss Earth is being pegged for an October/November 2015 schedule, then the organizers will have lots of time to solidify their interest in hosting.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this. ;-)
