The faculty members of Florida International University (FIU) are not happy with the Miss Universe invasion of their campus.
In the article written by Rebeca Piccardo for FIUSM.com News, there seems to be growing resistance from Faculty members of Florida International University (FIU) in having the Miss Universe Pageant happening inside the campus grounds. Citing among others the possible loss of credibility and tainted image of the academic institution, they do not like the idea of hosting the finals of Donald Trump’s beauty extravaganza even if it means free scholarships and worldwide promotion on Primetime TV.
A call for cancellation has been started. And if this move prospers, then it might become another source of headache for the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), unless the university officials choose to put their feet down and insist that the show must go on.
