Miss World has come a long way from the first edition in 1951 all the way to last year’s finals in Bali.

From 1951 when the very first Miss World – Kiki Håkansson of Sweden – was crowned all the way to 2013 when Megan Young of the Philippines became its 62nd titleholder, Miss World remains as the oldest surviving beauty pageant ever.
