“I’m so overwhelmed I don’t even know where to start.. Last night I was privileged enough to be crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2014. I feel like all the tears, sleepless nights, blisters and hours of training finally paid off – in a way I could’ve never have imagined one month ago. And there’s not enough words in the world to describe the level of emotion I’m feeling right now..
I would like to say thank you to my family, friends, fellow candidates, pageant organizers, designers, makeup-artists, media, sponsors, trainors and judges for believing in me and making this experience the single greatest one of my life. I would not be where I am today without you guys, and I am truly lucky to have such strong support.
However, this is not over yet and now my next journey begins.. I will be flying to Bangkok in less than a month to represent the Philippines in the Miss Grand International 2014 competition. And I will do whatever I can to make my country proud. Thank you for continuously giving me love and support during this journey, and i hope you will still stay with me through this new, even bigger journey I’m starting. Thank you guys, I love you.”
The title of this post couldn’t be more apt. The equestrienne is now a beauty queen. And Kimberly Karlsson “galloped” her way to national pageant fame in just a short period of time.
Who would have thought? I did. And many other pageant sites and forums did. And the judges unanimously did.And now, she will be whisked to more intensive training and preparations for Miss Grand International 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand. She will leave for the Land of Smiles on September 15 for an October 7 date with higher destiny. Let’s support Kimberly in her bid to become the Philippines’ first in the competition. ;-)
