Throwback Thursday: Jessie Alice Dixson can still feel it

Remember the Palmolive “I Can Feel It” Classic TVC featuring Bb. Pilipinas International 1986 Jessie Alice Calones Dixson (left photo, courtesy of Tony Paat) released on nationwide television a year after her reign? It became such a hit that the sales of Palmolive Soap soared at the time. Watch the commercial again below.

One of the most beautiful faces of Bb. Pilipinas 1986, Alice was a shoo-in for one of the crowns at the onset of competition. In fact, she would’ve made it as Bb. Pilipinas Universe instead of Violeta Asela Nalus, but the judges deemed her to be a perfect fit for the Japan-based Miss International where the youthful charm and pretty face are surefire combinations for a potential victory. Well, she did register well in Nagasaki, enough to land a spot in the Top 15. The crown went to Helen Fairbrother of England.

From there, she went on to explore other career avenues that offered a well of opportunities – TV, movies and commercials – with respectable success. She kept a low profile after settling down with Ronnie Miranda (with whom she is now separated) in Vancouver, but the showbiz bug was just too hard to resist. She is now an exclusive contract artist of TV5, with a freelance arrangement in doing movies with several film production outfits.

Just recently, she made some news on the ramp. Below is a video clip showing her during the 2014 FHM’s Sexiest Party where a near-wardrobe malfunction almost spoiled her appearance.

Alice Dixson is a good example of a beauty queen from the 80s who continues to maintain her beautiful looks while upping her inner glow all the more. At 45, she still can definitely feel it. ;-)
