There is a new Miss World United States 2014. And she is not Miss USA 2014 1st Runner-Up Audra Mari of North Dakota. The reigning Miss North Carolina United States has been crowned by Miss World 2013 Megan Young as the US representative to Miss World 2014 in London come December.
The 21 year-old Political Science graduate from the University of South Carolina is the winner of the Miss United States 2014 Pageant held in Washington, D.C. And the girl is not just passionate about pageants. She also started a Rock the Vote initiative to spread the word about voter registration for young people. While the cause may not be the kind Miss World Organization is always impressed with, I am certain that her work with teenagers and the youth could be translated to a beautiful purpose that she can max to the fullest in the international competition.
For now, I can only wish Elizabeth the best of luck in Miss World 2014. :-)
