Hopefully, this will push through as planned (or negotiated if you will).
Once all things fall into place, Miss Earth could have its 2nd overseas hosting of the finals after Nha Trang, Vietnam back in 2010. Macau is in the thick of negotiations with Carousel Productions to do just that.
And if Miss Universe has the real Las Vegas as default host city for several years now, then the Las Vegas of Asia could very well be what Miss Earth needs to make its 2014 edition a more glittery competition. While Macau may not be the most ideal eco-friendly venue with all its big lights and casino-lined avenues, I’m pretty sure the hosts will still insure that the cause of the pageant is espoused in all the activities lined up for this year’s delegates.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this hosting will shine through. :-)
