While the Metro Manila screening was not exactly the crowd-drawer the organizers had expected it to be, there were more than a few faces who stood out that will still make Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 a relatively competitive beauty contest, in addition to the seeded candidates coming from the provinces. And for this year, the sole titleholder will be known as such and will represent the country in the Kuala Lumpur-hosted Miss Tourism International 2014. And this only means that Miss Tourism International 2013 Angeli Dione Gomez will have the spotlight to herself come finals night on August 8. On the other hand, I cannot confirm yet if Koreen Medina will do her farewell walk without a winner to transfer her title to.
Be that as it may, I can already specify Glennifer Perido (former Binibini and Miss Philippines Air 2012), Fil-Italian Patrizia Lucia Bosco, Cristine Cheeny Racel (former Miss Bikini Philippines runner-up), former Star Magic talent Mary Eileen Gonzales, Steffi Gerona (niece of Mutya 1985 3rd Runner-Up Regina Gerona) and Nickah dela Cruz (Miss Meycauayan City during Miss Philippines Earth 2009) as the Metro Manila screenees who will definitely add some luster to the decades-old national pageant.
Let’s see who else will join them once all the Official Candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 will be presented. ;-)
